Will is many things, but one thing he is above all else, is an efficiency junkie – he literally turns food and oxygen into ideas of getting the same or better outcomes with less time, effort, and money
His dedication to all things efficiency can be seen throughout his life:
He passed the GAMSAT (medical entrance exam) on the first go, with less than 2 months of prep (as documented in FastGAMSAT) – then decided that he can help more people and provide more value to the world through entrepreneurship
He goes everywhere with his headphones and podcasts, ready to plug up any unused time with learning
In 2024, while trying to book accommodation overseas, he was horrified by the inefficiencies of the booking apps, which seem to be stuck in the early 2000s, that make you enter your preferences every time you book – even though nothing might have changed since your last booking
Will noted all the Butterfly Effect implications of this inefficiency: Bookings delayed due to procrastination leading to paying more for hotels, time wasted on checking and choosing tick-boxes that could have been spent living life more meaningfully, and trips not taken because it was too much bother to book – and lives that regret what could have been
And it made him upset – so upset, that he had to go lie down for a while
Then he decided to do something about it – with an app that books stays in one fell swoop – an app that lets you swoop up stays as easily as magpies swoop cyclists, and crows swoop up $5 bills
SwoopStay, if you will
